These are some of the most common questions I get asked.

Can I meet you before I decide whether to use Pet Loving Care?

I understand that it's a big decision in who cares for your furry friend and I never under estimate the trust put in me when I take on to look after your pet in your absence.
Once you have made a decision and you would like to join the PLC team, we can go through the finer details of the package of care!

What qualifications do you have?

I am trained in canine first aid. I have completed a course in Feline nutrition and I hold a certificate in canine behaviour. These certificates are available for you too see at our consultation.

For doggie walks...

The initial meeting will allow me to pair your dog with other doggie friends who have similar temperaments so that they can take part in group walks where they will get the most out of their time with me.

I only require occasional walks, can you still help?

Yes, I am happy to provide services as and when required and will do my best to accomadate depending on availability. Please bare in mind I will always need to meet your dog before taking them out.

Where will you walk my dog?

Growing up in West hill walking our family dogs I have an extensive list of local walks however I often still come across new routes when out walking with your little mud lovers.
Some of our regular hang outs are The river Otter, Aylesbeare Common, Cadhay, East hill, Escot park and various muddy foot paths in and around these areas.

I will walk your dog within a 10 minute drive of your home.
Areas I cover are Ottery St Mary, West hill, Fenny Bridges, Talaton, Whimple, Tipton St John, Feniton and other surrounding villages.
A small mileage charge maybe incurred.

Will you let my dog off lead?

I strive on giving your mud lover the most out of their walk. All Pet Loving Care dogs will only ever be walked off-lead with their pet parents permission and subject to good recall.

I will always walk your dog on-lead until he and I have built a strong enough bond for his recall to be consistently good. If I feel your dog's recall is a bit rusty I will walk him on a long-line lead so he can still get the most out of his adventure with me!

What if my dog doesn't get on with another dog?

I meet all dogs before I walk them and gather as much information as possible about them from the person who knows them best - their pet parent!
I take each new dog on with a trial period in mind. If your dog does not get along with others in the group due to aggressive behaviour I reserve the right to refuse to walk dogs who are aggressive. Dependinng on the circumstances I maybe able to offer you another available slot or service for your dog.

Do you offer over night care for my dog?

No, we are currently unable to offer this service but I can recommend other professionals in the East Devon area who do. Please contact me for details.

Are you insured?

Yes Pet Loving Care is fully insured with Cliverton. A copy of our certifciate is available to see at our initial consulation.

What do you do in case of an emergency?

In the unlikely event of an emergency I will contact you or the emergency contact number you would have given me at our consultation. If veterinary assistance is needed then I will take your pet to the nearest vet or your own named vet depending on the circumstances.

Can you adminster my pet's medication?
