Can I meet you before I decide whether to use Pet Loving Care?

Yes, this is really important for all parties.  I cannot look after your pet without a meet and greet visit.
I will email you the forms that you will need to complete, telling me all I need to know about your pet. We can then arrange for me to come to your home.
Meet and greets are free and should last approximately 30 minutes.
This is also a good opportunity for you to provide me with your key.

Does my dog need to be up to date with vaccinations?

This is not a requirement for our walking service as I believe we can over vaccinate our animals.

What areas do you cover?

I live and work in the beautiful town of West hill, Ottery St Mary.
Our main areas we cover are West hill, Ottery St Mary, Feniton, Talaton, East hill, Tipton St John, Woodbury, Whimple.
Generally a 5 mile radius of our base in West hill.

I only require occasional walks, can you still help?

Yes but many of our slots are already fully booked. I am happy to provide dog walking services as and when required but I cannot guarantee I will be able to accommodate your request.
Advance bookings are recommended.

Where will you walk my dog?

Growing up in West hill walking our family dogs I have an extensive list of local walks however I often still come across new routes when out walking with your little mud lovers.
Some of our regular hang outs are The river Otter, Aylesbeare Common, Cadhay, East hill, Escot park and various foot paths in and around these areas.

I will walk your dog within a 15 minute drive of your home.
Areas I cover are Ottery St Mary, West hill, Fenny Bridges, Talaton, Whimple, Tipton St John, Feniton and other surrounding villages.

Will you let my dog off lead?

I strive on giving your mud lover the most out of their walk. All Pet Loving Care dogs will only ever be walked off-lead with their pet parents permission and subject to good recall.

I will always walk your dog on-lead until he and I have built a strong enough bond for his recall to be consistently good. If I feel your dog's recall is a bit rusty I will walk him on a long-line lead so he can still get the most out of his adventure with me!

What if my dog doesn't get on with another dog?

I can only accept dogs who are able to socialise with others on our group walks. I cannot accept dogs who are dog-to-dog and dog-to-handler aggressive.

Do you offer over- night care for my dog?

We are unable to take new customers on for this service, but I can recommend other professionals in the East Devon area who can help you with this. Please contact me for details.

Are you insured?

Yes Pet Loving Care is fully insured with Pet Business Insurance. A copy of my certificate is available to see at our meet and greet visit.

What do you do in case of an emergency?

I am trained in Canine first aid so will administer as far as my knowledge allows. In the unlikely event of an emergency I will contact you or the emergency contact number you would have given me at our consultation. If veterinary assistance is needed then I will take your pet to the nearest vet or your own named vet depending on the circumstances.

Can you administer my pet's medication?

Yes, I am happy to adminster medication in accordance to the written instruction completed at the consultation.

Do you work weekends?
